About Us
The formation of children's fundamental capacities is hugely important during the
first years of life - not just academic learning but the ability to concentrate,
persevere and think for themselves as well as the ability to interact well with
others. Children who have been given the right kind of support during these
formative years grow into adults who are self-motivated, successful, and capable
of problem solving. Montessori can give such support to the children at this
important age of their childhood. It starts with learning grace and courtesy,
developing fine motor skills and gross motor skills with different Practical life and
Sensorial materials which are self-corrective. This is also useful for writing and
reading skills for children. The prepared environment in the classroom was that
everything the children came in contact would facilitate and maximize
independent learning and exploration. This calm, well-ordered environment has a
lot of movement and activity. Children are free to choose and work on activities at
their own pace. Here, they experience a combination of freedom and self-
discipline, as guided by the environment and the teacher. Structure and Order in
the Montessori classroom accurately reflect the sense of structure and order in
their outer world. Each and every material of the classroom guiding the child
through the five areas of the Montessori curriculum (Practical Life, Sensorial,
Language, Mathematics, and Cultural subjects). The ages each Sensitive period
occur different for each child, Montessori teachers accurately aware of when the
right time is to introduce concepts to each individual child.
